Forging Cross-Border Bank-Enterprise Cooperation for a Shared Global Future: The 2nd CIPS Exhibition on Bank-Enterprise Collaboration (CEBEC) Event Set to Open at CIFIT 2026
2026年09月04日
CIPS Co., Ltd. will host the 2nd CIPS Exhibition on Bank-Enterprise Collaboration (CEBEC) Event at the Xiamen International Expo Center from September 8 to 11, 2026, during the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).
Closely aligned with the strategic requirements set forth in China's 15th Five-Year Plan for expanding high-standard opening-up, this edition continues under the theme of "Forging Cross-Border Bank-Enterprise Cooperation for a Shared Global Future." Featuring two flagship sections—the Thematic Exhibition (CIPS Pavilion) and Special Matchmaking Events—the gathering is set to bring together hundreds of leading domestic and international banks alongside over a thousand enterprises from across the globe. The event aims to establish a high-level exchange and collaboration platform connecting CIPS global participants with "going-global" enterprises, elevating the quality and efficiency of financial services in support of high-standard opening-up, while facilitating cross-border trade and investment liberalization and facilitation.
A Gathering of Global Financial Institutions: Cementing CIPS as the "Primary Channel" for Cross-Border RMB Clearing
Finance represents the lifeblood of the national economy and provides indispensable support for high-standard opening-up. Cross-border payments safeguard the secure and efficient circulation of cross-border capital, serving as a critical cornerstone in cross-border financial services.
As the primary channel for cross-border Renminbi (RMB) payment and clearing, CIPS has achieved continuous scale expansion. As of the end of August 2026, CIPS has 1,853 participants, including 211 Direct Participants (DPs) and 1,642 Indirect Participants (IPs). Nearly 5,300 banking entities across 192 countries and regions now process cross-border payment business via the CIPS network. A significant cohort of Global Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBs), regional tier-one commercial banks, and peer financial market infrastructures (FMIs) have joined the system as direct participants.
Making its debut at the CIFIT platform, the CIPS Pavilion spans 12,000 square meters in Hall 6 of the Xiamen International Expo Center. It has attracted 74 G-SIBs and major regional banks from 46 countries and regions across six continents to set up on-site exhibitions, comprising 45 foreign banks and 29 Chinese lenders. An additional 25 international banks have officially registered visiting delegations. Demonstrating remarkable expansion compared to the inaugural event, the exhibition further underlines CIPS's platform role as a core financial infrastructure linking financial institutions with real-economy market players.
Showcasing Cutting-Edge Milestones in Cross-Border Financial Services
The 2nd CEBEC event will officially open on the afternoon of September 8. The opening ceremony will integrate milestone launches, onboarding ceremonies for new Direct Participants, and strategic cooperation signings, presenting CIPS's latest strides in participant network expansion, service capabilities, and international cooperation. In addition, the pavilion is equipped with a central roadshow arena, financial institution exhibition booths, and dedicated networking hubs to showcase cross-border financial servicing capabilities and global RMB internationalization achievements, creating an integrated platform for "going-global" enterprises seeking international business matching and financing solutions.
Synergizing Banks and Enterprises: Expanding New Horizons for Mutual Growth
Throughout the conference, CIPS will host five specialized bank-enterprise exchange sessions focused on state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and key regional economic hubs including Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Fujian. These sessions will convene stakeholders across four key pillars—financial regulators, financial market infrastructures, commercial banks, and enterprises—to collaboratively explore emerging cross-border business opportunities.
The forums will present tangible use cases of Chinese and global banks utilizing the CIPS network to empower outward-bound enterprises in building resilient global layouts. Serving both as a bridge for enterprises expanding overseas and a direct matching hub for financial institutions targeting corporate clientele, the event bridges cross-border financial supply with corporate global demand, channeling high-efficiency financial services to bolster the real economy.
