According to the Operating Guide on Cross-border RMB Payment System Business and the PBOC’s unified arrangement, the dates of 2016 CIPS and HVPS year-end closing were set on December 30 and December 31 respectively.
For better control of interactive risk coming from the timing sequence difference of CIPS and HVPS, CIPS Operator worked together with the development department and the maintenance department to make the 2016 CIPS Year-end Closing Work Plan, in which interactive plans between CIPS and HVPS on December 31 were made and it was clarified that the development department was responsible for conducting risk assessment and testing of the overall plan to keep risk under control.
CIPS Operator also made the 2016 CIPS Year-end Closing Control Table to coordinate with related departments as well as CIPS Direct Participants and to arrange personnel assignment, emergency response procedure and logistical support on the year-end closing day.
On December 30, all relevant personnel of CIPS were in place and monitoring was strengthened. Operating status and execution of interactive tasks with HVPS at the end of the day were also given special attention. A Zero-reporting method was implemented and all the work was carefully organized and performed. 2016 CIPS Year-end Closing was completed successfully.
Later, in the first week of 2017, CIPS run stably and business was processed correctly.
